Paper vs. Canvas

Why Canvas?

• Lightweight and less glare since no need for glass
• Save on framing costs (canvas is stretched on the same inexpensive wood frame that painters use)
• Archival inks same as on paper (just needs a varnish to protect)
• Larger sizes (up to 4.5x10 feet)

Why Paper?

• Shows more detail than the less regular canvas surface
• Canvas (without glass) needs more care in transportation than a framed paper print
• Less expensive for the print itself (though framing will offset the savings)

Bottom line? Canvas is great for a larger art display.
